This layout spans the last couple of months, I haven't worked in my sketchbook much. My creativity has wandered off to the homestead. Ive been spending my spare time painting some of Isaac's furniture, and it's almost done! It looks great. His table and chairs white, black, and neon green, with a hipster design. I'm quite proud. Me and the husband have also been building a chicken coop, I cant wait for our new backyard peckers and farm fresh eggs!

Settling In.
Back on track with my celebrities. I guess after doing these for a year now, it only takes a couple of practice runs to settle right back into my groove. Hopefully I can keep this momentum going.
PS I'm re-watching the Muppets with Jason Segel at the moment, pure genius. "Maniacal laugh....Maniacal laugh...Maniacal laugh..." hahahaha.

Draw-Off
After work tonight I sat with a beer and a friend and decided to draw a couple of co workers for fun. They turned out awful... that's payment for taking such a long break at drawing faces. But then I had a "draw off" with someone I'd just met, and OF someone I'd just met, and the result was not that bad. AND I had a blast doing it. (mines on the left).

Downtown Kind of Day
Went into downtown for a stroll through the Art and Garden Festival with my best friend Amber, and Dan and Baby Isaac. It was a gorgeous day. After browsing booths of art and miscellaneous treasures we found ourselves at the pub for some grub and refreshing brews.

For the record, I'm not dead.
Taking care of little Isaac is my whole life now. It can be challenging and rewarding, but most of all, sacrificing. He's worth every moment I'm torn away from sketching, writing, reading, self reflection, what have you. Combined with the extra work at Marin Gourmet I've taken on, there's little time. But I'm still here, and still creating when I can.
