Drawing out the Fear.
The actions of James Holmes were so devastating that I couldn't get it out of my head. It made me wonder about the fears that may keep some people from driving down a street in the ghettos, to walking down a dark alley, to getting on a plane... to going to the movies? FEARS. I can't quite judge those who are cautious about getting on planes, or now going to the movies, some are just more thick skinned then others. Some people are more sensitive and cautious, while others more care-free and out going. For me personally, it depends.
But I realized that once I had studied James's face and sketched it out on paper, some sort of pressure was immediately lifted. I'm thinking of drawing all the faces of those who scare me.
